Delisted: Antares Minerals Ltd is conducting a prefeasibility study on developing the 100% owned Haquira copper project in southern Peru as a 50,000 tpd SX-EW heap leach operation, and it is delineating a primary sulphide copper deposit discovered in 2007 beneath the Haquira East zone. Headed by John Black, Antares is also in a 50:50 JV with Pachamama Resources Ltd on the Rio Grande IOCG project in Argentina. The Haquira project had a global copper resource of 7.4 billion lbs as of Q1 2009 with a grade ranging 0.5%-0.54% copper. In October 2010 the company agreed to be acquied by Frist Quantum on the basis of 7.619 cents of a common share of First Quantum or a cash payment of $6.35, with Antares' interest in Rio Grande and $5 million in cash being spun-out into a new company, Regulus Resources. |

Delisted: Brazilian Gold Corp changed its name from Red Dragon Resources on January 6, 2010, reflecting the company's move into Brazil that took place during the second half of 2009. Led by CEO Ian Stalker and President Joanne Yan, the company has a 51% interest in the Boa Vista gold project optioned from a subsidary of Majestic Diamonds & Metals, and an 80% option on the Maues Gold project, both in the Tapajos region. The company also has a 50% interest in the Rea uranium project in the Saskatchewan Basin where Uramin is vesting for 50%. Subsequent to its move to Brazil, the company has since expanded its property portfolio by acquiring a number of early-stage gold prospects, primarily in Para State. In September 2013 Brazilian Gold agreed to be acquired by Brazil Resources, with BGC shareholders receiving 0.172 BRI shares per BGC share, around a $13.5 million valuation. |

SV Rating: Unrated: C3 Metals Inc was assigned a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating on December 14, 2018 while it was still called Carube Copper Corp and focused on its portfolio of copper porphyry prospects in Jamaica. In August 2019 Carube sidelined its Jamaican copper portfolio and shifted its focus to Peru with the acquisition of the Jasperoide copper skarn project which changed the original rationale for the Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating. Thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic and Peru's strict lockdown response the deal did not properly close and get financed until August 2020 when Carube also changed its name to C3 Metals Inc. The $2.4 million financing at $0.055 (no warrants) has left C3 with about $3 million for a two phase drilling program which it hopes to start in November once the final drill permit is granted. Although the lockdown relaxed in July, Peru still is not allowing international flights, so the Jasperoide program will be run by Peruvian employees of C3. While the Jamaican story was largely one of grassroots exploration in a region that is very much under-explored, the Jasperoide copper skarn is an existing discovery where the two-fold goal is to convert the main zone called Montana de Cobre into a maiden resource estimate by mid 2022 with delineation drilling and explore the rest of the property for additional skarn zones. The tonnage footprint is about 100 million tonnes with the key question being what the grade will be for an open pittable, heap leachable oxide resource whose copper can be recovered through SX-EW. C3 currently has 375 million shares issued and 435 million fully diluted, with about 32 million warrants exercisable at $0.05-$0.10 until 2022-24. The uncertainty about when drilling will start and how Peru will deal with a pandemic that is resurging elsewhere in the world as the northern hemipshere's regular flu season gets underway justifies maintaining a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating as of October 30, 2020, shifting to a Fair Spec Value rating once drilling is underway. From a North American perspective C3 has way too much stock out, but given that the primary backer of C3 is an Australian group headed by CEO and Chairman Antony Manini, the focus will be on price appreciation through fundamental value creation rather than Canadian pump and dump schemes that rely on so called "tight structure". To appreciate why C3 Metals Inc deserves attention it is worthwhile to review the history of the company. The junior initially listed on the TSXV in Aug 9, 2011 as Miocene Metals Ltd which had been spun out by Wallbridge Mining Company Ltd to hold its British Columbia projects. Miocene floundered but in November 2013 it was halted for the RTO of a private company called Carube Resources Inc which had assembled a portfolio of copper porphyry prospects in Jamaica, one of which, Bellas Gate, had been farmed out 80% to the Australian producer Oz Minerals. The RTO, which included a 10:1 rollback and name change to Carube Copper Corp, did not close until July 7, 2015. Although Wallbridge continued to support Carube, the Australian group headed by Manini which arrived through the RTO also supported the junior. Oz Minerals vested for 70% of Bellas Gate at the end of 2015 after investing $5 million but in 2016 Oz changed its global exploration focus as it grappled with developing the Carrapateena IOCG copper-gold deposit in South Australia it had acquired in 2011. Carrapateena commenced production in 2018 as an underground block-caving mine operating at 13,000 tpd. The focus change led to a deal in September 2016 whereby Oz gave back all its Jamaican interests in exchange for a 2% NSR and $14 million in future payments once one of the properties starts production. Jeff Ackert, who was appointed CEO in late 2015, thought he had a sweet situation with Carube's now 100% owned Jamaican copper portfolio, but North American audiences proved unreceptive to the idea that Jamaica could emerge as a world class mining center even though it already had an established bauxite mining industry. In 2018 Manini decided to assert greater control over Carube's destiny and brought on Stephen Hughes as the new CEO with Ackert taking on the role of VP of corporate development. Carube sold six of its Jamaican licenses to a private group in June 2019, keeping the Bellas Gate, Hungry Gully and Main Ridge projects. Two months later Carube agreed to acquire a private company called Latin America Resource Group for 104 million shares which closed in February 2020. LARG was a private company with 10 shareholders of whom the largest was RCF which currently has an 8% stake in C3. LARG's main asset was the Jasperoide project located between the Las Bambas and Constancia mines in southern Peru. The Peruvian gold-silver producer Hochschild had inherited Jasperoide through the acquisition of a company and drilled the Montana de Cobre skarn zone in 2012 as a potential gold target but gave up when it became clear that this is a copper skarn with a minor gold credit. LARG acquired Jasperoide which includes two internal options, a block owned by Hochschild in which C3 can earn 80% and two blocks owned by private individuals in which C3 can earn 100%. Jasperoide has had 10,175 m of drilling in 52 holes to a maximum depth of 300 m. These holes were drilled on an east-west grid but C3 believes the skarn system has a northwest trend and plans to orient an initial program of 20 holes 3,000 m along a northwest grid. This program, expected to cost USD $450,000, will begin as soon as the final permit is received which C3 expects in November. The initial program is designed to validate the existing holes for a future resource estimate and sort out the controls of the main skarn system which has yielded copper grades that typically run 0.5% to 1% with gold in the 0.3-0.8 g/t range but which can yield grades of 2%-5% copper over sizable intervals. An additional purpose will be to map out at what depths the oxide mineralization transitions to sulphides. By design this program will not generate anything that counts as new and exciting, but it should boost management confidence that a followup $1.5 million 10,000 m program in 2021 will delineate an orebody and support a maiden resource estimate in 2022. The speculative question is what combination of tonnage and copper soluble grade will emerge that supports development as an open pit, heap leachable SX-EW copper mine with a gold byproduct. Some of that phase two drilling will be earmarked for exploratory drilling on other targets within the Jasperoide property such as Cresta Verde to the north and Callejon de Oro to the south, so this plan is not without potential for discovery surprises in 2021. The system has undergone mutliple mineralizing pulses and the Grasberg-Ertsberg system is viewed as an analog, though no porphyry style mineralization has yet been encountered at Jasperoide. That deeper potential will be investigated down the road when the near surface skarn mineralization is better understood. The Grasberg model is no surprise because the President Stephen Hughes had spent a dozen years in Indonesia working for Freeport on its copper-gold Grasberg Mine. During the 2018-2019 transition period C3 looked at numerous projects in the United States, Central America and South America before settling on Jasperoide. The junior continues to hold key Jamaican prospects which it will farm out if the right deal comes along, and possibly revisit directly if the awakening resource junior bull market blossoms into a full fledged bull market. After a decade stumbling through a bear market everything is finally lining up for this junior to develop a sustained uptrend as it demonstrates the feasibility of Jasperoide's copper-gold skarn system. |

Key People Marc Levier (CEO), Robert J. Quinn (Chair), Tom Mair (CFO), |
Delisted: Great Western is an exploration company focused on the rare earth sector that has a dual focus on what it calls a "mine-to-market" strategy that aspires to position the company both as an explorer/project developer and as company with interests in downstream or end-use applications for the rare earth metals. The company is led by CEO and President Marc Levier and Chairman Robert Quinn. Great Western has as its flagship mineral property the past-producing Steenkampskraal project in South Africa where it is negotiating a supply aggeement with the current owner. The company has also acquired manufacturers and suppliers of rare-earth-based alloys such as Less Common Metals Ltd as it seeks to advance its dual focus. Great Western also had a non-binding letter of intent with Toyota Tsusho Corp regarding potential joint ventures on its Douglas River and Benjamin River projects in Saskatchewan that has been extended until March 31, 2010, but Toyota allowed the letter of intent to expire in April 2010. |

Key People David N. Hottman (CEO), W. D. Bruce Winfield (Pres), Mark T. Brown (CFO), Gary D. Nordin (VP EX), |
SV Rating: Bottom-Fish Spec Value - as of December 14, 2021: Orestone Mining Corp was initially assigned a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating on December 14, 2018 because was supposed to be the relaunch vehicle for key people involved in the early Refugio gold discovery years of Bema. But Orestone first wanted to tackle unfinished business at the Captain gold-copper porphyry project in British Columbia before moving on to the Resguardo copper-gold project in Chile where the goal was to find the porphyry system associated with a high grade copper skarn mine. Orestone went public in 2008 with the Captain project where the goal was to discover a Mt Milligan lookalike explaining regional soil geochemistry beneath 50 metres plus of overburden cover. The original Orestone management confirmed that bedrock was altered with low copper values, got distracted by a Golden Triangle property, and handed the keys in 2011 to David Hottman and Gary Nordin who first worked together at Bema in the late eighties and then at Eldorado during the nineties. After doing a 4:1 rollback the new group undertook a couple drill programs, focusing mainly on an area south of what is now called the Admiral target which yielded alkaline porphyry dykes but no ore grade in 2012. However, the last hole drilled in 2013 into the Admiral target was defined by a linear magnetic high straddling an IP anomaly based on a couple widely spaced lines. The earlier group had tried to drill this target with a percussion rig but failed to reach bedrock (the Admiral target is under 80-100 m of overburden). The magnetic high proved to be a barren 50-100 m wide gabbro dyke, but hole C13-03 did include a 3 metre interval of very different rock identified as a "highly potassic-sericite altered monzonite porphyry" which management now interprets as a xenolith captured by the dyke when it invaded a pre-existing porphyry deposit. The xenolith graded 1.9 g/t gold and 0.226% copper, unlike anything previously intersected at the Captain, and remarkably, the 2,000 m by 1,000 m Admiral target cut by the gabbro dyke had no drill holes into it. The mineralogy of the xenolith resembles that of the Red Chris deposit rather than Mt Milligan. But the best followup management was able to muster was a more detailed IP survey in 2016 which confirmed a strong chargeability high mostly to the north of the east-west oriented dyke. An IP anomaly indicates disseminated sulphides which is usually caused by pyrite, but when there is geochemical evidence of copper sulphides with a gold kicker, it could represent a major orebody. In 2017 Hottman and Nordin did a 5:1 rollback and brought on board former Bema associates, Julia Aspillaga and Patrick Daniels. In September 2018 they introduced Orestone to the Resguardo project located near Chile's Maricunga Belt. Resguardo hosts manto style copper mineralization grading as high as 7% which has been the focus of small scale open pit and underground mining with the oxide ores sold for off-site processing. In April 2019 Orestone raised $1.1 million through a unit private placement at $0.11. Orestone drilled the Admiral target in the summer of 2019 but failed to intersect any mineralization resembling the xenolith. Orestone refinanced in May 2020 with a PP of 10,625,000 units at $0.08 and finally drilled the Resguardo project; the stock tanked in late July when Orestone reported nothing interesting had been intersected. The stock washed out in October when the PP came free trading and Michael Gentile blew out his long position without warning. Orestone dropped the Resguardo option and turned its attention back to the Captain project where it started a $300,000 drill program in mid November 2020 to test new targets. Assays will not be available until mid January 2021. At the end of 2020 Orestone will have about $100,000 working capital left. The company has only 39.2 million shares issued but 65.4 million fully diluted. The dilution consists of 10,450,091 warrants at $0.15 expiring Apr 28, 2021 from the PP which funded the 2019 Captain drill program, and 10,625,000 warrants at $0.12 expiring May 29, 2022 which includes 3.8 million held by Gentile who can no longer be regarded as friendly. The junior would still like to use its Chilean team to source a new project in Chile, but will have to wait until the Covid-19 pandemic has subsided. Upside potential during H1 of 2021 hinges on achieving a discovery breakthrough on the Captain copper-gold porphyry play in central British Columbia whose juicy xenolith remains unexplained by historic drilling. The location is such that drilling can be done year round; according to Hottman some remaining key targets on this largely overburden covered project are in boggy areas best drilled during the first quarter when the ground is frozen. Unless there is something special in the Q4 2020 drill holes which enable early exercise of the $0.15 warrants, Orestone will need to do another financing to test these targets in early 2021. |

Delisted: Pacific Rim Mining, led by President and CEO Thomas Shrake and Chairperson Catherine McLeod-Seltzer, is focused in El Salvador, where the company is at the permitting stage with its flagship El Dorado gold-silver project. El Dorado is a vein-hosted epithermal gold system where the company has established a measured and indicated resource of 1.295 million gold ounces in 4.27 million tonnes grading nearly 10.0 grams per tonne Au, with 255,000 gold ounces in 839,000 tonnes grading 9.45 grams per tonne in the inferred category. After struggling to receive permits for El Dorado, in April 2009 Pacific Rim announced it was commencing arbitration claims against the government of El Salvador for violations of local and international law in its refusal to issue permits for the project for more than two years following the submssion of the Envirnmental Impact Statement. In Addition to El Dorado, Pacific Rim hosts additional exploration projects in El Salvador and is conducting grassroots generative programs in Costa Rica and Guatemala. In October 2013 the company agreed to be acquired by OceanaGold on the basis of 0.04006 of a share of OceanaGold for each Pacific Rim common share, roughly a $10 million valuation for the company's 1.5 million ounces of measured, indicated, and inferred gold. |

Delisted: Probe Mines Ltd, headed by CEO David Palmer, is focused on the 100% owned Borden gold project in the Kapuskasing area of Ontario southwest of Timmins. Borden was a 2010 grassroots discovery for which an open-pittable resource of 4.3 million ounces at 0.5 g/t cutoff was reported in 2012. In late 2012, however, the exploration focus shifted to a new style of Archean lode mineralization at the eastern end of the Borden zone which had a significantly higher grade. The High Grade Zone (HGZ), which is an underground mining target, had been traced for 1,100 m as of the end of 2013 and is the focus of a winter ice drilling campaign during H1 of 2014 to test an additional 1,000 m of potential strike. An initial resource estimate is expected in Q2 of 2014, followed by a PEA in Q3, which would form the basis for an underground drilling campaign as part of a PFS for an underground 2,000-3,000 tpd mine. In the Ring of Fire region of northern Ontario, Probe owns the Black Creek chromite project with a resource of 8 million tonnes grading 40% Chromium (7.4 billion pounds). The possibility that Cliffs might eventually buy Black Creek has diminished since Cliffs suspended development work in 2013 due to the failure of the government to address First nations and infrastructure issues. |

Delisted: Laurentian Goldfields is a Canada-focused junior with gold projects in Nunavat and Ontario. The company is run by CEO Darin Labrenz and chairman Brian Fowler whose target generation strategy involves taking lake bottom groundwater chemistry measurements in regions whose surface geology is generally dismissed as unproductive for gold potential. The methodolgy is similar to that of Nevada Exploration Inc's gold-in-groundwater approach to Nevada's gravel covered basins, except in the case of Laurentian Goldfields the theory is that the unprospective cover rocks overlie older more prospective rocks which have structures that either host gold mineralization not too deep beneath the cover rocks, or which were reactivated after the cover rocks were emplaced so that economic deposits might be hosted by the "unprospective" rocks. The out-of-the-box approach targets "golden haystacks" that signal the potential presence of lode deposits where they are not supposed to exist. In May 2009 the company announced an exploration alliance with Kinross Gold for the Uchi geological subprovince of Ontario and Manitoba targeting the highly prospective Red Lake, Rice Lake, and Pickle Lake greenstone belts. In July 2012 a further exploration alliance was announced with Antofagasta Minerals for generative copper exploration in Southern Quebec, Canada. In October 2012 the company announced it would be asking shareholders to vote on a potential 10:1 rollback at the November AGM. |

Delisted: Quadra Mining, led by President and CEO Paul Blythe, is a base metals development and operating company with interests in a number of advanced exploration, development and producing properties including the Robinson Mine in Nevada, producing copper and gold, and the Carlota copper leach project in Arizona, as well as the Sierra Gorda advanced exploration copper-molybdenum project in Chile and the Malmbjerg molybdenum development project in Greenland. In March 2010 the company announced plans to merge with Sudbury-focused FNX Mining in a transaction that will leave Quadra shareholders owning 52% of Quadra FNX Mining. The merged company anticipated 2011 production of approximately 300 million pounds of copper and 150,000 ounces of precious metals. In December 2011 the company agreed to a takeover offer from KGHM Polska Miedz SA for $15 cash per Quadra share in a $3.5 billion transaction. |

SV Rating: Bottom-Fish Spec Value - as of December 1, 2021: Alianza Minerals Ltd has a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating based on its emergence as a competent prospect-generator that generally farms out its projects but is also not afraid to conduct drill programs on 100% owned projects if needed to make them more marketable for farmouts or when the targets represent low hanging fruit. Alianza is headed by executive Chairman Mark Brown, who runs the business side of the company, and CEO Jason Weber, who emerged from the Equity consulting group that specialized in northern British Columbia and the Yukon. The current flagship is the Haldane project south of Victoria Gold's new Eagle heap leach gold mine and west of Alexco's Keno Hill high grade silver mine. Although Haldane has the same Keno Hill quartzites which host Alexco's high grade silver veins, with several north-south striking lead-silver veins on the southern side of Mt Haldane which underwent very small scale mining during the 1920's, the area has not seen anywhere near the degree of exploration as the Keno Hill district which yielded 200 million ounces silver at an average grade of 44 opt from 1913 until 1989 when costs finally over-ran metal prices. Alexco revived the KHSD in 2006, operated Bellekeno from 2011-2013, discovered several new high grade zones, and is awaiting a final permit by the end of 2019 in order to resume production. Alexco also had drilling success in 2019 and has performed very well in what amounts to the 8th year of a resource junior bear market. Mt Haldane always represented high-hanging silver fruit, which is why it was available for Alianza to option in 2018 on easy terms with only a dozen holes into it, most of them earlier this decade by a junior whose shareholders got what you get when you chomp into an haberno. Alianza has not marketed Haldane to partners, choosing instead to spend $1.1 million on exploration, including $800,000 in 2019 on 4 drill holes for which results are expected in October. The challenge at Haldane is that deep weathering in this unglaciated terrain makes it difficult to track on surface the lead-silver veins which occur as a cluster, blossom as high grade shoots, and have undergone local fault displacement. Geophysical surveys have not been attempted because they have not been overly effective at Keno Hill. Alianza has undertaken soil sampling as a tool to identify additional mineralized structures outside the main vein system. In 2019 Alianza drilled 4 holes totaling 923 m. One was a 350 m hole on the Bighorn soil anomaly in the western part of the property which has confirmed the presence of a sulphidic breccia body which surprised management but could become an important new focus in 2020. The second hole tested the Ross soil anomaly covering the projection of the Middlecoff vein under the older Highland Group phyllite which the Robert Service thrust fault pushed over the Keno Hill quartzites from the south before the mineralizing event occurred. This hole delivered unexpected geology. The other two holes were drilled in the Middlecoff zone to test the vein along strike and down-dip from the same drill pad. This hole was designed to help better understand the local fault architecture. For now Haldane will remain the flagship because silver is trending higher, Alexco is putting the market spotlight back on the Keno Hill Silver District, and Alianza has both a new target at Bighorn and a plan on how to drill the main vein system, one that will depend on a better market appetite for such discovery plays than exists in Q4 of 2019. The other important Yukon play is the Tim project near Coeur's new Silvertip zinc-lead-silver CRD style mine in which Coeur can earn up to 80% by funding a positive feasibility study within 8 years. However, no work will get done until the summer of 2020. The main reason for Alianza's bottom-fish spec value rating is its portfolio of 3 Carlin-type projects in eastern Nevada which Hochschild Mining plc, the Peruvian silver producer, optioned in Q1 of 2019: Horsethief, Bellview and BP. These are part of a portfolio Alizana acquired in 2015 from Sandstorm which originally came via a circuitous route from Jerry Baughman, one of the key people behind Ely Gold Royalties. The deals are weak in their first year spending commitment and allow Hochschild to go to 70% by spending USD $10.5 million, $7 million and $5 million respectively over 7-8 years. However, Hochschild has spent its first year requirements which includes $500,000 on Horsethief for which Alizana has proposed a 2,500 m drill program that could get done in late October to mid December but probably will not be started until June 2020. Horsethief boasts a number of jasperoids within outcropping carbonates that past operators have drilled with anomalous results, but Alianza's main target is an IP chargeability high in the southern part it calls Mustang. The Mustang target is covered by post-Carlin volcanics, but flanked by the HT South jasperoid in carbonate to the southwest and the smaller Stallion jasperoid-carbonate window to the northeast. Thanks to the karsted nature of the carbonates in this area Alianza thinks a Carlin-type deposit similar to Long Canyon lurks at depth within this 2 km by 2 km undrilled target area. Although Hochschild has made a timid entry into Nevada, it now has a year under its belt becoming familiar with this region, and is no doubt paying attention to the spotlight Barrick is putting on Nevada's gold potential with its Nevada Gold Mines JV with Newmont. Alianza has 82 million shares issued and 125.7 million fully diluted which management claims are well held, but it did complete a private placement of 13,820,000 units at $0.05 in early July with a full 3 year warrant at $0.10 that comes free trading in late October or early November. In addition it did 6,908,333 flow-thru shares at $0.06. Six Canadian brokerage firms paced this paper with 63 parties including 11 brokers who took 5,443,000 (units?). Given the propensity of brokers to encourage their clients to clip the warrant and flip the stock so they can roll the proceeds into another high commission private placement, this is not what I would characterize as a tight structure. However, I am not a fan of tight structure based stock manipulations, so I think Alianza offers excellent bottom-fish spec value for anybody seeking a junior with a potentially significant Yukon silver project the company for now is keeping to itself, and for exploration drilling in 2020 on possibly up to 3 Carlin type targets in Nevada by a major eager to establish a presence in the world's most prolific gold mining jurisdiction. |

Delisted: Terrane, led by CEO and President Robert Pease, began in June 2010 construction at its Mt. Milligan copper-gold porphyry project in British Columbia. Mt. Milligan, with measured and indicated resources of 6.6 million gold ounces and 2.5 billion copper pounds, will be a 60,000 tonner per day open pit project operating over a 22 year mine life. In July 2010 the company announced it had agreed to be acquired by Thompson Creek Metals on the basis of $.90 cash and 0.052 Thompson Creek share per Terrane share, or roughly $1.41 per Terrane share, in a transaction valued at $290 million. |
