Kaiser Media Watch Blog - July 1, 2022 to July 31, 2022
KRO Blog Overview
The KRO Blog is where unrestricted content of a time sensitive nature is posted. It includes the Kaiser Media Watch Blog which features content involving John Kaiser produced by third parties such as the Discovery Watch series by HoweStreet.com, interviews by outfits such as Investing News Network, SDLRC related commentary, the KRO Monthly Summaries, and just about anything else John writes that is not intended exclusively for the fee based KRO Membership.
Kaiser Watch is a weekly 15-30 minute audio show produced by KaiserResearch.com with Jim Goddard and John Kaiser discussing the junior resource sector. The show has three parts: the first is a general topic, the second discusses developments involving the KRO Favorites which as of January 1, 2022 are no longer exclusive to KRO members, and the third is a peek inside the members only KRO Bottom-Fish Workshop. KRO is transitioning into a Do-It-Yourself research platform that covers all Canadian and Australian resource listings and which also features a Bottom-Fish Workshop where John Kaiser highlights juniors with solvable "missing pieces". Companies that graduate from the Workshop may become part of the Annual Favorites collection whose profiles and related commentary are unrestricted for non-members. Visit the KRO Favorites Dashboard for quick access to all the unrestricted Favorites related content. KRO is not sponsored or compensated directly or indirectly by public companies. The business model is based solely on membership fees in the form of a USD $450 Annual Individual Membership that at some point will increase substantially to reflect KRO's shift to a research platform. However, when the change happens active members will be grandfathered to renew indefinitely at the current rate provided they maintain a continuous paid membership. Kaiser Watch is available at Kaiser Research YouTube and as a Podcast downloadable from KaiserResearch.com. Each episode will be made available through the publication of a Kaiser Media Watch blog report which will provide links to specific questions and include supplementary graphics. All episodes will be archived at Kaiser Watch.
Kaiser Watch July 28, 2022: The time is right for emerging discovery plays
Jim (0:00:00): You will be in Vancouver September 9-10 for the Metal Investors Forum. What sort of companies are you inviting in light of the overall market gloom?
Although the slight inversion of the US T-Bill yield curve suggests that inflation will be tamed as a recession kicks in, the potential for worsening China supply chain problems as Xi Jinping doubles down on his zero covid policy even as the less harmful BA5 variant starts to rampage, and Russia's ongoing Ukraine invasion will feed inflationary pressure even as an economic downturn unfolds, causing inflation to persist. Until this situation has stabilized investors will be reluctant to speculate and advanced resource projects for which sentiment is linked to metal prices that are unlikely to benefit from a global slowdown. For resource juniors to attract audiences they must deliver a story that is sustained by exploration news flow, which is only possible with a major discovery in a general bear market. I mention Eskay Mining toward the end as an example where the emerging focus on the Scarlet Ridge trend will attract audiences regardless how gloomy the macro context. Uncertainty about how long the doom and gloom can drag on is why I am only inviting companies to September 2022 MIF which have what I believe to be significant emerging discoveries that can serve as self-contained speculation bubbles that deliver S-Curve action. The YouTube Eskay Update by John DeDecker is worth the 19 minutes to watch,

Jim (0:10:46): What are some the big discoveries you remember from the first half of your career?
Arequipa from the Glorious Good Old Days and Arizona Mining from more recent
Jim (0:20:02): Have any of your invited companies accepted your invitation?
Although I talked last week about Canalaska's emerging uranium discovery in the Athabasca Basin, a subsequent conversation with CEO Cory Belyk revealed how close Canalaska came to making this discovery in 2007, which discouraged further interest in this conductor. The difference was higher resolution geophysics done in Q1 of 2022 which showed that the graphite loaded fault structure was 100 m farther NW than those 2007 drill holes could have reached. And because the fabric of the rocks dips SE, the alteration halo that can ascend 500 m above the unconformity, would have tracked NW and been just out of reach of the holes as they hit the unconformity. So I talk about this again as an example of how new geophysics can revive plays that frustrated past exploration.

Jim (0:29:16): Last week Endurance Gold announced initial results for its core drilling program at the Reliance discovery. Does Endurance Gold qualify for your September MIF session?
Endurance Gold has not yet been elevated to a KRO Favorite whose commentary is unrestricted for non KRO members, so the July 28, 2022 Tracker which explains to members why the way EDG has drilled hole #30 suggests a major breakthrough remains restricted. But I couldn't resist creating a public example of how with a discovery play speculators can immerse themselves in minutiae in search of clues that appear to offer an edge.

Jim (0:18:40): If the Athabasca Basin is your favorite place to explore for uranium, is there any junior you are watching closely for a discovery?
