SV Rating: Fair Spec Value - Favorite - as of December 29, 2023: 92 Resources Corp has a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating based on the strategic location of its Corvette "lithium" project within the apparent trend of the emerging Mythril copper discovery of Midland Exploration Inc. NTY, which has 87.8 million issued and 104.6 million fully diluted, of which declared insiders own less than 2%, and about $600,000 in flow-thru capital that must be spent in 2019, would not qualify for a Bottom-Fish or higher Spec Value rating if it were not located near ground zero in what appears to be shaping up as a Great Canadian Area Play, a resource junior market phenomenon which we have not seen since 2007-2008 when Noront ignited the McFauld's Lake region with its nickel discovery which failed to achieve world class scale. The James Bay region had a mini area play in 2004-2006 when Virginia Gold discovered the Eleonore gold deposit. This time around Quebec has formalized James Bay as part of Plan Nord, a government initiative to develop the northern two-thirds of the province. The James Bay Plan Nord Area Play does not yet have confirmation of a world class discovery, which could come in early May when Midland reports results from its initial 11 hole program at Mythril, though will more likely unfold during the 2019 summer as Midland gets 3 drill rigs turning and a better understanding emerges for this new copper system which has attracted the attention of BHP, the world's biggest copper producer which is not interested in anything with less than world class scale. The realization that NTY is positioned to become the third hottest junior after Midland and Azimut Exploration Inc during the emerging stage of the James Bay Plan Nord Area Play has lit a fire under a group that has suffered as the resource junior bear market trudges along in its eighth year. NTY listed by IPO in March 2010 with a Sedex play in British Columbia's Ketchika trough as a junior called Rio Grande Mining Corp, split its stock 1:2, acquired a Colombian project in 2011, underwent a management upheaval in 2012, rolled its stock back 7:1 in 2013, optioned the Zim Frac silica project in 2014, and succumbed to another 5:1 rollback and name change on June 10, 2014. 92 Under the new CEO Adrian Lamoureux and CFO Dusan Derka NTY became part of the Zimtu orphanage operated by Dave Hodge and changed its focus in 2016 to the lithium boom spawned by the electric vehicle mania created by Tesla. With the help of Jody Dahrouge, who remains one of the larger shareholders, NTY optioned several projects in the James Bay region of Quebec that either covered known pegmatites, the primary bedrock host for lithium, or were in proximity to advanced projects such as Nemaska and Galaxy's James Bay deposit. By 2018 the lithium boom had run its course as the South American brine operators secured expanded production quotas for their salars, the Australians developed new pegmatite based bedrock mines, the price of lithium carbonate dropped more than 50%, and the ice cream parlor started featuring vanadium as the new flavor of the month. So in 2018 NTY optioned the Silver Sands vanadium play next to the Pine Pass project in BC just in time for the area to come under provincial consideration as a protected area for caribou habitat. But NTY also decided to double down on the Corvette lithium project by doing a deal with Osisko Mining Inc that allows it to earn 75% of the FCI claim, an inlier within the Corvette claim package which covers about 75% of a pegmatite trend. With the vanadium pivot dead on arrival, and the Corvette claim's lithium expansion potential colliding with the end of the lithium boom and fallout from the unfolding Nemaska fiasco, NTY managed to squeak a year end $618,000 flow-thru financing at $0.05 which gives it enough money to work on the Corvette project in 2019. But in what amounts to serendipity, the Mythril copper discovery announced by Midland in October 2018 now appears to be part of a 40-60 km east-west trend that projects westward about 10 km onto Azimut's Pikwa property based on a just disclosed copper lake-sediment anomaly, and 20 km eastwards on Midland ground before Midland's staking collides with the pre-existing Corvette claims, which run for about 10 km before Midland's claims resume for another 15 km farther east. At this point it is not clear what geology is relevant, but it is important that BHP invested $5.85 million in Midland at a 36% premium based in part on its assessment that the Mythril "magmatic-hydrothermal" system does not readily match any deposit style in its catalog. NTY lacks a strong technical team, but does have on its advisory board Darren Smith, a Quebec based geologist who worked on the Eldor rare earth project and is part of Jody Dahrouge's consulting firm which is active in Quebec. Market interest in Quebec's lithium potential is likely down for the count, but these pegmatite systems sit within greenstone belts which have gold potential. NTY has several other such projects in the James Bay area that can benefit from a gold focus. But as of Q2 2019 NTY's Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating hinges entirely on the accidental location of the Corvette project within a trend controlled by Midland. To what extent 92 Resources Corp becomes a major James Play junior will depend on how quickly Midland's discovery gets acknowledged as world class with regional replication implications and how quickly NTY mobilizes its focus on the broader potential of the Corvette project. Unlike Midland and Azimut which have strong shareholder bases and corresponding poor liquidity, NTY has a weak structure screaming for a rollback whose liquidity will become a blessing for the market as the James Bay Plan Nord Area Play gains traction. |

Key People Andrew Thomson (CEO), Robert I. Valliant (Chair), Mark Santarossa (Pres), Brian Jennings (CFO), Steven Dawson (VP CD), |
SV Rating: Bottom-Fish Spec Value - as of December 31, 2021: Tri Origin Exploration Ltd, soon to be renamed NewOrigin Gold Corp, was made a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rated 2021 Favorite at $0.23 on December 31, 2020 based on an Andrew Thomson led management reorganization and Osisko backed financing in December 2020 that finally gives the Ontario project portfolio Bob Valliant built during the past decade a chance to deliver its exploration potential. After cleaning up debts Tri Origin has about $2 million working capital following a private placement completed early January consisting of 21,923,076 units at $0.125-$0.13 with a full 2 year warrant at $0.18. This was taken down by 67 placees including 12 brokers and insiders who took 2.2 million units. Osisko Mining Inc took down 3.2 million units and its spinout O3 Mining took 2.4 million units. Including the 2.7 million shares O3 will get for selling its Kinebik project to Tri Origin, the Osisko group will own 7.8 million shares plus warrants. Not included in this tally are Osisko related individuals who do not qualify as insiders for reporting purposes who may have participated in the financing. The hold period ends May 11, 2021. Tri Origin has 49.1 million issued and 72 million fully diluted, with the dilution from the 22 million warrants at $0.18 potentially adding nearly $4 million to working capital. The stock sagged in Q1 of 2021 because Covid issues prevented the company from getting a drill permit for a winter program at its Sky Lake project. They have contracted a driller to start in mid May and are optimistic the permit will arrive in time. The Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating reflects the 51% back-in rights on the Sky Lake and North Abitibi gold projects which need to be eliminated in order for rethink style exploration programs to attract the major financing they need. Tri Origin went public by IPO in 1991 with Dennis Sheehan and Bob Valliant as the founders, both from Lac Minerals where Valliant was Exploration VP, but Sheehan passed away soon after and Valliant, who did his PhD on the Bousquet-Laronde deposits in the Abitibi, ended up in charge. The company's exploration efforts straddled Australia and Canada, with the Woodlawn VMS project eventually spun out as a separate ASX-listed entity. But the resource junior bear market that started in 2011 created a lost decade for Tri Origin which spent most of it trading below a dime while Valliant operated as a one man show. In November 2019 he attempted to revive the company through a pity waiver priced private placement at $0.03 that was open to non--millionaires under the existing security holder exemption, but attracted no such interest and only closed a fraction with accredited investors. Tracker Nov 29, 2019 provides a good overview of Tri Origin's various projects at the time, most of which remain intact. The stock did attract open market interest in Q2 of 2020 despite Valliant's decision to undertake a rollback as high as 10:1, but he didn't get it done until Aug 20, 2020, settling on a 5:1 rollback. By then the gold run had peaked and his effort to do a $2.1 million non-warrant financing at $0.35 for hard and $0.43 for flow-thru dollars missed the boat and in October 2020 the stock collapsed into the $0.10-$0.15 range, in effect back to $0.02-$0.03 in pre-rollback terms. In December Valliant capitulated to ongoing efforts by Andrew Thomson to revive the company with new management and bring the Osisko group in as backers with the $2.75 million financing. Thomson, whose flagship is supposed to be Peru-focused Palamina Corp, has emerged as the CEO while Bob Valliant has become Chairman. Bill McGuinty, who has been with Thomson since the Soltoro days, has become project manager, taking over a role Valliant had tried to do single-handedly. McGuinty's most recent stint was as Expl VP for Eastmain's Au Claire project which primes him for tackling the Sky Lake play. Mark Santarossa, a former mining analyst who recently served as VP of Corporate Development for GT Gold and Aurion, has become the new public face of Tri Origin in the role as President. The board has been beefed up by two representatives of Osisko Mining and O3 Mining. For the first time in a decade Tri Origin has a fully fledged management team. The Sky Lake project located in western Ontario straddles a 27 km segment of a greenstone belt to the southwest of the high grade Pickle Lake gold district which produced over 3 million ounces from 4 underground mines during 1936-1993. ASX-listed Ardiden Ltd has emerged as a major land holder in this region and owns the Kasagiminnis deposit on an inlier claim in the eastern third of Sky Lake. The western third of Sky Lake surrounds the 5 km long Koval property which was explored in 1950-1990 during which 133 holes were drilled to a maximum depth of 200 m along a 1 km strike with most holes less than 100 m deep. Barrick inherited this property when it acquired Lac Minerals. Barrick initially held 90% while the remaining 10% was split among 5 individuals, of which 6% has been converted to a royalty and Tri Origin is working on converting another 2%. The remaining 2% is in limbo because it was held by a deceased owner with no heirs. In November 2016 Valliant optioned 100% of Barrick's stake for $500,000 over 4 years, of which about $150,000 remains to be spent this year. However, this is a bad deal because it allows Barrick to back in for 51% net after Tri Origin has completed a feasibility study. An FS will cost tens of million dollars which nobody will fund if another party can back in for majority control if the outcome is positive. It also includes a 2 km area of interest. The project's scale potential is below Barrick's threshold, so one of the tasks ahead for the new management once Tri Origin has vested is to negotiate a deal with Barrick to get rid of this back-in right. This will be an important milestone. The northern part of the east-west oriented property covers an iron formation, and Ardiden's 790,000 tonnes of 4.3 g/t is of this nature. But the Koval deposit is south of the iron formation and is an orogenic system with Bousquet-style pyritic quartz-sericite-schist hosted mineralization in 3 parallel tabular veins. Tri origin plans a 2,600 m drill program of 9-12 holes with oriented core that will create a baseline for reassessing the Koval deposit. The program may include a couple stepout holes. Geophysical surveys done by Tri Origin have revealed untested IP chargeability highs and EM conductors within the Koval area of interest. The long term objective is to see if Koval can be turned into a 5 million oz plus gold system and make new discoveries along the rest of the relatively unexplored 27 km long Sky Lake property. Assuming the Sky Lake drilling gets underway in May, assays should start arriving in July. Since there will not be much new information the key to raising additional capital at higher prices will depend on the extent that Tri Origin has marketed the planned rethink of the Koval system within the Sky Lake project. Tri Origin's Plan B project is the North Abitibi project on the Ontario side of the Casa Berardi-Douay-Cameron Deformation Zone west of a large land position held by Kirkland Lake following its acquisition of Detour Gold. This project was acquired in 2010 from Vista Gold Corp which has a 45 day window after Tri Origin has spent $2 million to back in for 51% by spending $4 million over 3 years or stick with a 3% NSR. Tri Origin has spent $830,000 so far. Three gold zones have been outlined by 139 holes (29,600 m) to a maximum depth of 150 m. Deeper IP surveys done by Tri Origin reveal chargeability highs beneath the drilled limit. Tackling this deeper potential will hinge on Tri Origin raising additional capital, which in turn will hinge on the market's response to the Sky Lake drilling. Tri Origin needs to push North Abitibi to a point where Vista either injects the next $4 million or settles for a 3% NSR of 1% can be bought by Tri Origin. Tri Origin still holds two claim blocks near Cobalt called Nipissing Cobalt and South Abitibi on which Sumitomo spent $2.25 million in 2015-2018 before dropping out. This area is covered by the Proterozoic sediments of the Cobalt Embayment, under which extends the Archean aged Abitibi greenstone belt. For decades the area was withdrawn from staking by the Bear Island Caution while First Nations claims were settled. When the area came open Valliant staked the two blocks on the premise that deeper penetrating geophysical surveys could reveal Mag-EM targets representing blind VMS deposits under the younger cover rocks as well as potential gold-bearing structures. Sumitomo drilled some targets, though left many untested. In late 2019 Tri Origin granted De Beers access to drill targets it had generated with its own geophysical surveys. The deal was that if De Beers found something they would negotiate a farm-in deal. De Beers drilled a couple targets without encountering kimberlite and notified Tri Origin in late 2020 that it was not continuing with this arrangement. The properties are west of an area where RJK has been assembling a land position and finding new kimberlite bodies in a search for the origin of the 800 carat yellow Nipissing diamond found in overburden in 1903 and sold to Tiffany which cut it into smaller diamonds. Despite the large size, this is not a Type IIa diamond (CLIPPIR) due to the yellow color which is due to nitrogen which is absent in super-deep diamonds. The Archean hosted potential of the two claim blocks remains largely untested but is not an exploration priority for Tri Origin. In April 2021 Tri Origin acquired the 17,750 ha Kinebik project from O3 Mining for 2.7 million shares. It straddles 30 km of the Casa Berardi-Douay-Cameron Deformation Zone on the Quebec side and adjoins to the east of Opus One's Noyell project. O3 acquired Kinebik from Chalice Mining as part of a bigger acquisition and has sold it to Tri Origin mainly to acquire a larger equity stake. However, O3 is paying for a geophysical survey that may reveal new targets away from those that 45 past holes have tested. The company has spent Q1 of 2021 orchestrating the transition to new management which will be complete with the name change to NewOrigin Gold Corp. |

SV Rating: Bottom-Fish Spec Value - as of October 12, 2023: Ophir Gold Corp's flagship project is the 100% optioned Radis project in the western part of Quebec's James Bay lithium district which is financed and permitted for drilling though Ophir needs to refine its pegmatite targets before deciding to drill in November or wait for Q1 of 2024. The 7,580 ha property covers the northeastern half of the 30 km Yasinski Greenstone belt while the southwestern half known as the 8,600 ha Mia project is controlled by Q2 Metals Corp. This belt has seen exploration for base and precious metals since 1958, with Eastmain Resources Inc controlling most of the Radis property since 2005. Ophir optioned Radis for $375,000 and 5 million shares over 3 years in December 2022 from Fury Gold Mines Ltd which acquired Eastmain in October 2020 for its Eau Claire gold deposit in the James Bay region. Past work documented a number of spodumene bearing pegmatite outcrops spread out along a 4 km segment of the greenstone belt, but Ophir has yet to undertake serious prospecting and target development. In contrast the vendor of the Mia property sampled outcrops in 2021-2022 before optioning it to Q2 Metals in November 2022. Ophir got boots on the ground on June 2 but was forced out within two days by the forest fire access closures. Nevertheless, Ophir managed to obtain 1%+ Li2O values for two outcrops along the trend, Navet and Chou, and, ironically, received a drill permit on July 20 that is valid until March. The property is conveniently located just west of the Billy Diamond Highway and north of Wemindji Road, but this area had extensive fire and was only opened at the end of August. The service contractor, Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd, is racing to remobilize a prospecting crew ahead of a Sept 15-Oct 15 moose hunting closure for this particular area. Depending on field success Ophir may be able to start drilling after the moose hunting season, or return for further target development in order to be in a position to mount a winter drill program in early 2024. Dahrouge's company is providing services to both Ophir and Q2 Metals which share an exploration camp. Q2 also had only two days in the field but has a lot more prior target development work that will likely allow it drill this year after the moose season. Ophir has $5 million working capital following a $3 million charity flow-thru financing in May that was ultimately taken down by an Australian group that has been an investor in Patriot Battery Metals Corp and is also the main backer of Q2 Metals. It is not inconceivable that if both Mia and Radis deliver major discoveries the two juniors will merge. The largest visible Ophir shareholder is Jody Dahrouge with 6,036,000 shares; Dahrouge has extensive James Bay knowledge and runs a 150 person geological service company in the James Bay region. Ophir is headed by CEO Shawn Westcott who was part of Dave Hodge's Zimtu organization until 2020 when he took over from Jonathan Armes as CEO of Ophir's predecessor, Minkap Resources Inc, after it acquired the Breccia gold project in Idaho from Dahrouge. Darren Smith, who had worked on Commerce's Ashram rare earth project in northern Quebec, also came on board as exploration VP, though his primary focus is as exploration VP for PMET. The goal of Q2 Metals and Ophir, who control the entire Yasinski greenstone belt, is to demonstrate that the repeated LCT-type pegmatite outcrops represent large, elongated lithium enriched pegmatite bodies as PMET has now confirmed with the CV5 maiden resource and hopes to replicate along the remainder of its 50 km share of the Corvette trend. Ophir Gold Corp had 90.4 million issued and 126.9 million fully diluted as of August 2023. The junior was assigned a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating on December 14, 2021 but at this stage there are no longer any missing pieces and effective August 29, 2023 the rating was switched to Fair Speculative Value awaiting confirmation that the LCT-type pegmatite outcrops at Radis hang together as a continuous 1%+ Li2O deposit. |

Key People Alicia Milne (CEO), Jody Bellefleur (CFO), Neil McCallum (VP EX), |
SV Rating: Bottom-Fish Spec Value - as of November 16, 2023: Q2 Metals Corp derives its name from the Big Hill orogenic gold play in Australia's Queensland and the Mia lithium project in Quebec's James Bay region. The junior listed as a CPC in late 2010 and completed its QT in 2011 by acquiring Gerald Harper's private company and spent a decade bottom-crawling as Minfocus Exploration Corp which underwent two rollbacks in 2018-2021 (7:1 and 5:1). In September 2021 control shifted to a group led by Blair Way when the company acquired a 100% option on the Big Hill gold project in a former mining district. The name was changed to Queensland Gold Hills Corp in December 2021. Following disappointing drill results from Big Hill, Blair, who had his hands full as CEO of Patriot Battery Metals Corp, stepped aside in August 2022 and Alicia Milne took over as CEO. In November 2022 the junior acquired the 8,600 ha Mia lithium project from Tony Perron's Canadian Mining House for $350,000 and 13 million shares. At the same time a private placement of 12.5 million units at $0.10 raised $1.25 million. The Mia property covers about 15 km of the Yasinksi greenstone belt which has undergone exploration for base and precious metals since 1959. During 2021-2022 CMH undertook surface sampling of pegmatite outcrops which validated the pegmatite as LCT-type grading over 1% Li2O. The name was changed to Q2 Metals Corp to reflect the dual focus, but by then the Big Hill gold project had become largely irrelevant as James Bay lithium became the new focus. Neil McCallum of Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd became a director and exploration VP in January 2023, and Q2 Metals promptly raised $10.25 million at prices ranging $0.50 to $1.04 per unit depending on what flow-thru features were involved. Q2 staked the 3,972 ha Stellar property to the north of Mia covering 13 km of Yasinski group rocks. Q2 Metals managed to get geophysical surveys done in Q2 of 2023 and planned to start a two rig 10,000 m drill program in July. Q2 Metals arrived on the Mia property in early June to start ground-truthing the results of the geophysical surveys but within two days was forced off the property by the James Bay fire closures. At present the Mia outcrop has been mapped 370 m by 130 m and is located 7 km from the Carte outcrop. The company was able to go back on the property on August 30 but will spend the first two weeks on follow up sampling and then take a break during the First Nations moose hunting period from Sept 15-Oct 15. Q2 Metals expects to start drilling in the second half of October and will drill as long as weather conditions allow, with a resumption planned for Q1 of 2024. A key goal will be to establish whether the Mia outcropping pegmatites represent elongated bodies aligned with the Yasinski greenstone trend as has been established for PMET's CV5 deposit within the Corvette trend, or if they are a series of enchelon dykes similar to what is the basis for Allkem's lithium resource to the south at the Galaxy-Cyr project. Q2 Metals has about $10 million working capital, 83.3 million issued and 115.2 million fully diluted, an experienced management that includes Neil McCallum as exploration VP, and an Australian shareholder base that also got involved with Patriot Battery Metals Corp in late 2021. Effective August 30, 2023 a Fair Spec Value rating has been assigned to Q2 Metals Corp on the expectation that drilling at Mia will confirm a major lithium discovery in late 2023 or early 2024. |

Delisted: Ventana is led by Chairman Richard Warke and President and CEO Stephen Orr. The company is exploring its La Bodega gold vein project in Colombia that is adjacent to Greystar's Angostura deposit. In November 2010 the company released an initial resource estimate of 27 million tonnes grading 3.9 grams per tonne gold (3.5 million ounces), 21.5 grams per tonne silver (19.2 million ounces), and 0.14% Cu (84 million pounds) along with a scoping study showing an initial 14 year mine life producing 220,000 gold ounces annually, with 301,000 gold ounces produced annually during the first six years, with operating costs of $43.72 per tonne and cash costs of $364 per gold ounce, net of byproduct credits. With initial capital expenses of $297 million and using a gold price of $1,000 per ounce the NPV (5%) is $807 million, rising to $1.2 billion at a gold price of $1,200 per ounce. On November 17, 2010 the company received an unsolicited takeover offer from EBX Capital, which already holds 20% of Ventana's stock, for $12.63 per share. In February 2011 the offer was raised to $13.63 and Ventana agreed to the transaction. |

SV Rating: Bottom-Fish Spec Value - as of November 25, 2022: Xplore Resources Corp was confirmed with a Bottom-Fish Spec Value rating at $0.045 on November 25, 2022 based on its dual strategy of exploring for lithium enriched pegmatites in western Ontario and Brazil. The initial focus became precious and base metal exploration when the CPC acquired Wes Hanson's private company in October 2020. The shift to lithium occurred in Q1 of 2022 when Xplore acquired the Surge project in western Ontario on the flank of the Root Lake area where ASX-listed Green Metals Technology has its Root pegmatite discovery. During 2022 Xplore collected surface samples from Surge to prioritize targets for drilling in 2023. Hanson is a mining engineer with experience in Brazil and in late 2021 recruited a team of Brazilian academics to generate gold prospects. But in 2022 they were redeployed to seek out lithium pegmatite projects which resulted in the September 2022 acquisition of the Energia claims in Minas Gerais. This team is working on additional Brazilian pegmatite acquisitions. Xplore suffered a major distraction in 2022 when it tried to acquire the Diamond Mtn phosphate project in Utah which fell in September. Although Xplore has only 50 million fully diluted the stock is liquid below a dime as a result of 2 private placements done at $0.10 in 2020 and 2021. A key missing piece is proper funding to advance the lithium projects in 2023. |
